Roger Thaxton and Carie Garrity are amateur USA Dancesport competitors who compete in both national and international competitions. Since 2007 they have placed in the top six USA Dance National Championships in senior international standard, taking second place in 2007 and 2010. They are also the winners of the USDC Grand Senior Championship in 2009 and 2010. Roger, dancing Pro/Am, won the United States Dance Gentlemen's Standard Championship three times; 2008, 2009 & 2010. Because of their love and interest in all aspects of dance, they have sought out and taken coaching from some of the finest instructors in the world. Realizing the overall health benefits, and enjoyment of life dance brings, they started teaching in 2004. They are accomplished instructors of all ages in both the American and International styles of dance.
