Curtis Henderson
Curtis started dancing when he was in high school at a local ballroom dance studio, where he was hired as an instructor. A strong passion for ballroom dancing developed and ultimately led to intense training in order to compete in the International Latin and Standard Rising Star division and placing as a finalist. In 2008, Curtis moved to Ann Arbor as a pre-medical student to attend The University of Michigan and decided to compete as an amateur. Since then, he has accomplished first and second places in the International styles. Curtis has worked with, and continues to work with top coaches and judges such as Steve & Susan McFerran, Pierre Allaire and Paul Holmes. Though his major goal is becoming a physician, he is always striving to become a better dancer and continue his dance education. In addition to teaching at another dance studio and guest teaching for the University Health System, he is excited to become a part of The Dance Pavilion. Curtis offers instruction in both International and American styles, as well as West Coast Swing, Salsa, Night Club Two Step, and Hustle.
